Mahzad Y. Sabegh

I received my B.Sc. and M.Sc. in applied chemistry from the University of Tehran, Iran. During my M.Sc., I worked on the CO2 capture process and pyrolysis of marine biomass project.

In 2019, I joined the Scaiano group as a Ph.D. student at the University of Ottawa. My current research is based on designing heterogeneous photocatalysts for continuous-flow systems and scale-up processes.

Out of research, I hold a position of the chemistry director of uOttawa graduate student's association (GSAÉD) 2021-2023. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, gardening and listening to music.
