My name is Mahtab, and I am a dedicated researcher with both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering, specializing in Polymer Chemistry, from Sahand University of Technology in Tabriz, Iran. My academic journey commenced with a focus on the synthesis of structured polymers, particularly aimed at developing advanced electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries. This foundational work not only provided me with a strong understanding of polymer science but also sparked a profound interest in the field of electrochemistry.
Throughout my master’s program, I engaged deeply with electrochemical principles and their applications, which significantly enriched my passion for chemistry. This experience motivated me to pursue a Ph.D. in the discipline, where I aim to further expand my knowledge and expertise.
In September 2024, I had the privilege of joining Prof. Scaiano’s esteemed lab, embarking on a new chapter in my academic career. This opportunity allows me to explore innovative areas within chemistry, particularly focusing on photochemistry, which aligns with my research aspirations. I am enthusiastic about the potential to make meaningful advancements in this exciting field.
