Connor Bourgonje
Ph.D. Student
I'm originally from Alberta, where I studied microbiology and nanoscience at the University of Calgary. My research in the Scaiano lab focuses on synthesizing light-activated nanoparticles with potent antibacterial properties, as well as using single-molecule microscopy to analyze catalysts.
Outside of the lab, I am the current president (2022-23) of the uOttawa chemistry grad student association (CBGSA), and spend my spare time watching the San Francisco 49ers and Calgary Flames religiously.
