Carly Frank

I joined the group as an undergraduate co-op student, only to end up staying for my honours, masters, and then transferring into the PhD program! I love photochemistry for the wide range of topics I can explore - from nanoparticle research and catalysts, to kinetic studies and mechanisms, all the way to environmental applications - the latter two are the focus of my thesis research, looking at the chemistry, reactions, and degradation of VOCs in our air. 

In my spare time, I enjoy rotating through and occasionally neglecting a variety of hobbies including swing dancing, playing piano, hiking, painting, and fiber arts.
