Daliane R. C. da Silva

I did my graduation in my hometown, Belo Horizonte, Brazil. I graduated in biology with an emphasis on microbiology. During my undergrad, I spent a year at the University of Ottawa where I joined the Scaiano group for the first time.

In 2018 I returned to the group to do my graduate studies. In early 2020 I completed my transfer to the PhD program. My research is focused on the development of photocatalysts to fight infectious diseases and water remediation.

Outside of the lab, I enjoy taking part in outdoor activities such as jogging, snowboarding, playing tennis, and volleyball.
