Every year we go on a scientific retreat to discuss our research goals for the up-coming year.  After a day of fruitful discussions we are now ready to tackle new challenges! 

We have assembled a team of researchers in Canada, Kenya and South Africa with the goal of using solar energy for water remediation, that is, eliminate bacterial contamination and reduce to a minimum contamination by organic matter. This project is funded by IDRC (www.idrc.ca).
